We're thrilled about our new Pspecial of the Week. It's not everyday you get to create a donut themed around a IKF AMATEUR MUAY THAI BANTAMWEIGHT WORLD CHAMPION. In fact, it's probably never happened. A few months ago, a pretty, soft-spoken girl named Jenna Castillo stumbled into Psycho Donuts. Upon first meeting Jenna, you might never guess such a well-mannered girl could be California's Champion Muay Thai Kickboxing queen. We learned that Jenna is so jacked up about donuts, friends call her "Jenna Donuts." And this was the start of an amazing friendship.

It was only natural for us to create a donut in Jenna's image. And so it is that we bring you this week's Pspecial - Jenna's Passion. This may be the one and only time you can have Jenna's foot in your face without an ensuing hospital visit. Jenna's Passion is a foot-shaped donut filled with our Belgian White Chocolate and Passion Fruit Cream and topped with Strawberry Icing and Jenna's fave - sprinkles.

Donuts and Nurses and Art, Oh My!

When we started Psycho Donuts a year ago, we never imagined that artists would paint original works inspired by donuts and nurses... just because we asked.

But that's exactly what has happened. And that's also why we are ecstatic about this Saturday's event called Donuts and Nurses and Art, Oh My! Where else can you find trippy, original artwork starting for as little as $40? Only at Psycho Donuts, this Saturday - May 15 - starting at 10am.

Check out original affordable artwork by local artists - like Christine Benjamin, Lacey Bryant, Michael Foley, Sheri DeBow, Eric Joyner, Simon Salas, Murphy Adams, Nic Caesar, Michael Borja, John Hageman, Michelle Waters and more.

Artist Trina Merry will entertain audiences with her live body painting and artist Christine Benjamin and Ivy Atoms will be on-site painting some cool creatures on canvas!

And of course, we'll have our insane collection of donuts, including Crazy Face, Headbanger, and S'mores (rated one of the Top 10 Donuts Coast-to-Coast by Maxim Magazine).

In other crazy news, we have some special Dementables of the Week for your culinary donut pleasure - The Psycho Passionata is a raised donut filled with a white chocolate passion fruit. Our Psycho kitchen is working frantically on an insane variety of donutrocities, including Zombie Ballz. Get a tray of them for $2.50; or if you just want a couple, order a pair of Zombie Cajones for a buck. No wonder zombies are always so agitated...! Launching end of September.

Then there's Trick or Treat. These donut holes all look the same, and most of them are a treat... except when they're not! Watch out for the tricks!

Our Psycho Vegan department is giddy to announce the release of our October Vegan of the Month: The Blueberry CheezFake. Donut tell the carnivores this one is vegan and they might even like it... It's a blueberry vegan cake donut, topped with graham cracker crumbs, and a cheesecake buttercream. Vegans unite!

Check out the new variety of crazy drinks in the Psycho Campbell Cooler. In addition to our usual line-up of Duff Beer and Zombie energy drinks, we now have a wide array of unusual flavors including Cock and Bull, and Rat Bastard. They fun and funny to drink, all at the same time!

Contest #3 and Donuts of the Week

The First Annual Psycho Donut Pizza Eating Competition (PDPEC?) is only 6 days away. Don't miss it! This Saturday (6/5/10) at 2pm, at Psycho Donuts.

Contestant #3 was made to be around Psycho Donuts. Since the age of 8, Brett has enjoyed working in a Toy Factory in Fresno. In his own words, "There my father and I would spent countless hours, testing, preparing and inspecting each toy as it passed on the line. Everything went perfect, aside from the countless 'accidental' deaths that ocurred. Business as usual. Until...

When our economy decided to take a fall, we decided to close the factory down. Many workers were upset and threatened to reveal us for 'what we really are'. We shipped one last line of toys called Insignifi-Bears, with realistic human-like faces. This was our most profitable line, but so bitter-sweet.

I ended up with thousands of stuffed toys, but no real friends. In time, they became my friends, my enemies and my ... well, you get the picture. Depicted here is an image of me having so much fun with my friends. No animals were harmed in the making of these photos, just stuffed ones."

I think you'll agree that Brett (aka 'Retch,') belongs at Psycho Donuts... maybe permanently. Watch him try to out-eat his competitors this coming Saturday - as they each battle their own 14" Donut Pizza demon, in 8 minutes or less!

The Vegan Department at Psycho Donuts is giddy to announce the Nutty Vegan. Who knew vegans could find something so tasty to eat? This vegan donut is topped with Nutter Butter cookies and peanut butter. Om, peace, shanti... No animals or dairy products were killed in the making of this donut.

The Un-Vegan Department at Psycho Donuts is proud to announce the Pink Panda this week. This chocolate cake donut is topped with strawberry icing, and Strawberry Hello Panda cookies.

And speaking of Strawberries - the Psycho Pstrawberry TacOnut is the most amazing donut on the planet! Come get one on Memorial Day, when we'll be topping our TacOnuts with blueberries and whipped cream. What a great way to be patriotic inside and out! If you miss them on Memorial Day, you can still get one next week.

Speaking of which - Friday June 4 is National Donut Day. We'll be serving up Pstrawberry TacOnuts the whole weekend. And we'll also be making Psycho Cottonballs on Friday afternoon... Donut Holes... cotton candy... skewers... got it?

And on Saturday June 5- it's National Donut Hangover Day at Psycho Donuts. Special surprises in the morning... and of course, it's the Donut Pizza Eating Competition at 2pm. The winner will receive a hand-signed piece of artwork, from Psycho artist, Simon Salas, along with branded Psycho gear.

Explosion Rocks the Psycho Kitchen. Anyone got a Containment Cap?!

An explosion rocked the Psycho kitchen early Sunday morning. Admittedly, our kooks were cutting corners and an explosion ruptured our donut fryer - resulting in an oil leak (trans-fat free palm oil) that cannot be contained. This monumental psycho disaster has resulted in our new Current Event Donut of the Week called Chocolate in the Gulf.

This donut is a gusher. Chocolate oil is leaking from a ruptured pipe, constructed of Oreo FunStix. Donutologists estimate the donut is spewing a Willy Wonka river of chocolate each day. The leaking chocolate is mixing with an ocean of glaze, congealing into a gooey mass of oreo dust which threatens to overwhelm the vast surface of the entire donut. Many attempts have been made to quell the flow of chocolate. Web Granger, PhD (Professor, Hysterical Donuts) said, "We've tried everything. We've stuffed Cocoa Puffs and M & M's down the FunStix pipe, but nothing will stop the impossible flow of chocolate. The only way to stop this leak is through consumption."

Get your Chocolate in the Gulf donut this week only; beginning Monday, Jun 28. An optional cookie containment cap is yours for the asking. It won't really stop the flow of chocolate, but it might make you feel slightly better about your donut.

Thankfully, our Vegan kitchen was unaffected by the Psycho kitchen fiasco. Our Vegan of the Week is Bam Bam! Channel your inner Flintstone and pick up this vegan cake donut, topped with chocolate icing and Cocoa Crispies.

And while we're talking animation, our Econ 101 Donut Pizza of the week is The Homey. This 14" Donut Pizza is topped with a strawberry icing and rainbow sprinkles. The Econ 101 is an ongoing Psycho economic experiment. We make only one per day. It goes on sale for $30 each morning, and the price declines $2 per hour until it sells. That's Curiously Strange!

Altoids are amazing. Did you ever wonder how they pack so much flavor into such a tiny white package? And now, they're not just for eating out of a tin anymore. Check out our new Donut Pspecial for the week of July 19 - Curiously Strange. This raised donut is topped with vanilla icing, coarsely chopped bits of peppermint Altoids, chocolate chips, and a chocolate drizzle. We really weren't so sure that Altoids would really work on a donut; so we conducted some taste tests on guinea pigs, er, customers, this weekend. The concensus is that Curiously Strange creates a serious Christmas peppermint sensation in your mouth. Give it a try - this week only.

On the Donut front - Psycho Donuts now bathe daily in trans-fat free oil! You’ve asked – we’ve listened. We’d also like to extend a warm welcome to our latest donut creation – the “We Been Vegan.” Many of you have been clamoring for a vegan donut. Our Psycho R&D team has been working around the clock to master a Vegan donut that tastes great (less filling?). We’ve succeeded! Come and get it!

Psycho Donuts is proud to present The Psycho Music Studio!! Come on in and play our Fender Electric Guitar (must have 1 year experience; 16 yrs old +). Longer hours have finally arrived! During our crazy childhood (trust us, it really was...), we closed at noon on Monday through Thursday. Now that we are a Psycho toddler, our hours have been extended. We’re now open until 5pm every day, and until 8pm on Friday/Saturday. Starting the week of August 17, we’ll be opening at 6am (an hour earlier) on weekdays as well.

Marla is a maple but her Butterfinger dusting has made it tough to keep her man on hand. She's a hopin' that a little bit o' p'nut butter will increase her sticky-ocity. You will have to try her youself and see if you fall in love with her. If we notice more comb-overs in the shop we'll know why!

Crazy Moms, JasoNuts for Fri 13th, and Psycho Winos

Psycho Donuts is going off the rails for your crazy mom! Bring your mom to Psycho Donuts for a strangely memorable Mother's Day.

Chief Psycho's mom loves a Sunday morning Mimosa - where she'll enjoy a real drink before noon - guilt free! This Mother's Day - treat your mom to a MOMosa! Our Psycho MOMosa is filled with a champage pastry creme, and topped with orange icing, a citris swirl, and rainbow sprinkles. Fancy enough for sophisticated moms, crazy enough for the rest. And for your mother in-law, how about our Arsenic MOMosa (we kid, we kid...).

Our Ballz department is pleased to announce our newest variety of Psycho Ballz. This month, you'll enjoy our Nutty Ballz. Chocolate cake donut holes, rolled in chocolate icing and chopped peanuts. Nutz and ballz have never been such great company.

And from our Very Vegan Kitchen, donut miss The Orange Creamsikiller. This orange vegan cake donut is topped with a rich vanilla icing and orange drizzle. Guranteed to transform any contemptuous crazy carnivore into a verifiable villified vegan.

Last weekend, Psycho delivered the world's first pull-apart wine tasting donut to a wine and donut pairing event at Poetic Cellars. The crazy antics were captured on film, by LA film producers, Highlighting Entertainment. Our Psycho Wino was a big hit. Grok this: 4 donut holes fused into one. Pull apart the first piece and pair it with a Chardonnay. The second piece pulls away and is genetically engineered to pair with the Syrah... and so on. Wine pairing will never be the same without a Pull-Apart Psycho Wino on hand!

Psycho Donuts Goes Gaga!

Look out, Psycho Donuts is about to go Gaga! The Alejandro singer will be stopping in San Jose on August 16th and 17th as part of her Monster Ball Tour, and the Psychos are ready to celebrate! In fact, the team in our Krazy Kitchen has come up with a few delicious Gaga-inspired treats, which will be available from August 13 - 18.

He Ate My Heart That donut is a m-m-m-monster! A delicious vanilla-iced heart stuffed with raspberry jelly, this little monster won't be afraid to show you its teeth!

Blueberry Kisses

Eh, eh, what else can we say? Inspired by an unreleased Gaga tune, this delightful morsel is a vegan white cake donut topped with blueberry icing and fresh blueberries, drizzled with a spicy ginger-cinnamon icing. 100% vegan, 110% delicious, it'll keep the paparazzi coming back for more!

Another week, another smattering of demented Psycho Pspecials! This week's Pspecial Donut is, "Dude, I Skor'd!" Check out this raised donut, chocolate icing, Skor candy bits, and vanilla drizzle. We're not sure which is more fun; eating this crazy donutrocity, or ordering it.

Last week, we conducted a PEE (Psycho Economics Experiment), which we dubbed "The Econ 101." We were curious to know at what price a donut pizza would sell for; if it started its doughy life luxuriously expensive in the morning, but became wildly more affordable by the hour. The Econ 101 sold quickly in the second hour for $28 - above market value. It was such a fun experiment, that we've decided to make The Econ 101 a permanent weekday ordeal. Every weekday, we'll make one Donut Pizza. It will start at $30, and decrease by $2 per hour. If you want it, come early and flex your elasticity of demand. This week's Econ 101 will be manically topped in four crazy ways: 1/4 Strawberry Fields, 1/4 S'mores, 1/4 Manic Malt, and 1/4 Donilla.

Psycho Pspecials!

They say you should never mess with a good thing. But who are "they" anyways?! And why should we listen to "them?" And so it is that we are messing with a good thing this week. That good thing is our S'mores Donut. Yes, the same S'mores donut listed in Maxim Magazine's Top 10 Donuts in the Country. Why would we do such a thing? Because we figured out that a S'mores donut filled with Chocolate Custard would be Crazy Good! Come and try a S'mores Overload - this week only!

Our Chief Veganoligist has taken our standard Moodswing donut and veganized it. So this week, come and get the Moody Vegan - it's a cross between the Mood Swing (coconut and peanuts) on top of a vegan cake donut.
