Psycho Friends -
We were thrilled about The Food Network's plans to visit Psycho Donuts on Monday, April 5; however, The Chief Psycho has just received news that plans have changed.
O'Malley Productions creates shows on behalf of The Food Network. I talked with Sean O'Mally, president of the company. Sean is a great, down-to-earthy guy - but found himself in a position to make tough decisions. And unfortunately, one of those decisions was not in our favor.
In the mean time, we are attempting to spread the word - so that all of our friends are aware of this last-minute change. While we'd still love to see your face at Psycho Donuts on Monday, we want you to know that your face won't be captured on Food Network cameras.
We'd like to thank all of you for your support and enthusiasm regarding this opportunity; we're optimistic that an opportunity will arise again in the near future.

Get a Hot Chick at Psycho Donuts!
As if there weren't already tons of cute girls at Psycho Donuts... get ready, as Psycho Donuts unveils our own Hot Chicks. No, we're not talking about inflatables. We're referring to The Hot Chick Donut! Like many hot chicks, this one has a spicy bunny tattoo on its mid-section, and is filled with custard.
Have we mentioned our PsychEaster Baskets? Order one with our Nurse on Duty at 408-378-4540. It will include 4 of the most unusual Easter donuts known to humanity.
Also - on Thursday, we have Lab Day at Psycho Donuts! We'll have nurses playing fire games with donuts (Creme Brulenut?!), personalized cups of designer coffee, and an international kazoo/accordian orchestra rocking the Psycho Bin.
And if you can't make it to Lab Day on Thursday, don't miss our PsychEaster event this Sunday, with Psycho Karaoke by Korkaraoke (10am), and a live Performance by Please Do Not Fight (1:45pm).
And then there is that scrappy little cable channel coming to visit on Monday (yawn). Just another day at Psycho Donuts...

World's Craziest Easter Donut
A killer Easter donut is on the loose, and only Psycho Donuts has the courage to introduce such an infant monster to the world.
Please extend a crazy welcome to Massive Egg Trauma. If there were such a thing as Donut Oscars (Donoscars?), Massive Egg Trauma would be up there with The Hurtlocker and Avatar. A special thanks to Web, our PhD (Professor, Hysterical Donuts). Web worked manically with our kooks to bring Massive Egg Trauma to life support.
Massive Egg Trauma is a particularly peculiar premature peepling, precariously perched (say that 10 times) atop a ginormous mess of jelly filling, which sits atop a raised donut. Come get one this weekend at our PsychEaster event on Sunday! Or call our Nurse on Duty at 408-378-4540, and order your PsychEaster basket (complete with Massive Egg Trauma and his demented Easter friends) today!
And - this Thursday only - it's Lab Day at Psycho Donuts. Come experiment with us. Among other things, we'll be serving up individually brewed, designer cups of killer coffee before your googly eyes. Come get an amazing cup of personalized java, made just for your by a Psycho Nurse - this Thursday only!
Let's summarize the fun stuff coming this weekend at Psycho Donuts!
Thursday: Lab Day! Donuts, Nurses & Fire; personal designer coffee
Saturday: Psycho Donuts will jeopardize the Campbell Parade.
Sunday: PsychEaster Event, starting at 10am. Karaoke, PsychEaster Donuts, live music.
Monday: There's a small local cable channel... I think it's called The Eating Network - or something like that... Anyways, they're trying to ride Psycho Donuts coattails to media fame. It's preposterous - they think a channel broadcasting only about food and cooking might have a future on National Cable TV. Hysterical. Anyways, you might have a chance to display your face on this fledgling TV broadcast. Check our Facebook Page for all the details.

Psych up for PsychEaster, and more
We hereby commence the launch of PsychEaster and our PsychEaster event on Easter Sunday!
We'd like to welcome the first of our PsychEaster seasonal whacktrocities- Rabbit Roadkill. What, you were expecting cuddly bunnies? Rabbit Roadkill has much in common with Headbanger. And like Headbanger, Rabbit Roadkill has seen better days. Jelly filling is oozing from his ear; and you, with no sympathy in your soul, will eat him.
You can pre-order a PsychEaster Basket for only $14.95. Picture an Easter basket, with 4 of the craziest Easter donuts you've never imagined. If you wait until we announce them all, the PsychEaster Baskets will be gone! Supplies are limited and advance orders are required. Order your PsychEaster basket by calling the Nurse On Duty at (408) 378-4540.
We hope to see you on Easter Sunday (April 4) at Psycho Donuts for our PsychEaster event. Beginning at 10am, we'll have Karaoke with Korkaraoke. And at 1:45, don't miss a live musical performance by original Indie band, Please Do Not Fight. We'll also have our entire line-up of PsychEaster Donuts. Don't miss it!
And the fun doesn't stop there:
This Thursday, join us as we experiment with some crazy, new donut ideas. For starters, we'll be combining donuts, nurses, and fire! Can you say Creme Brulenut? Stop by for Lab Day at Psycho Donuts - this Thursday only.
On Saturday, April 3 - Psycho Donuts will crash the Downtown Campbell Bunnies and Bonnets Parade. Come cheer us on!
And finally - The Food Network is coming to Psycho Donuts on Monday, April 5. Follow our Facebook Event Page for participation details - maybe you'll be on national TV? Stranger things have happened at Psycho Donuts!

Food Network Descends...
The rumors are true! After months of speculation (ok, days of speculation), we are giddy to announce the arrival of The Food Network to Psycho Donuts!
The fun happens on Monday, April 5 at Psycho Donuts in Campbell. Come join Adam Gertler, current host of Will Work for Food, as The Food Network films a Psycho segment for Adam's up-and-coming show!
Wanna see your crazy mug on The Food Network? Here's your opportunity! Check the details on our Facebook Event page! We'll provide ongoing information about when to show up, if you're interested in being captured as one of our store crazies...
We're truly excited about this opportunity, and hope you'll find time - probably around the lunch hour on Monday April 5 - to help us make Psycho history!

Congrats to Head Nurse Siobhan!
Next time you stop at Psycho Donuts, make sure to congratulate Nurse Siobhan - who has recently been promoted to Head Nurse! You'll be seeing Siobhan spending more time in the Psycho cell, as a result of her new managerial responsibilities at Psycho Donuts! Make sure to give her a crazy congratulations when you see her!

Welcome new Psycho artists!
We'd like to extend a crazy welcome to the latest artists to join the Psycho family.
Eric Joyner has built an impressive following. Featured in exhibits around the world, Eric happened upon the idea of painting robots and donuts. The ironic combination of these disparate elements creates a quirky style that is collected by serious art aficionados around the world. We're lucky to have several of Eric's limited edition prints gracing (I was so tempted to say disgracing, but his work is too good for my typical writing) the walls of Psycho Donuts!
Which leads us to outrageous work of Simon Salas. Simon's work looks like it was made for Psycho Donuts - and in fact, now it is! Simon is painting original pieces, inspired by donuts - specifically for Psycho Donuts. Simon is a California native. His style tends toward the deep and contemplative, but it's uniquely his own mantra. Simon's work officially hit the Psycho ward earlier today.
Stop by to check out our new artwork, and have a donut. Life is short!

Psycho Leprochaun, PsychEaster, and more!
With so much going on at Psycho Donuts these days, it's hard to know where to begin - so let's get to it!
We begin with the shamrock donut cutter, which mysteriously appeared at Psycho Headquarters. And then, as if in a dream, we saw the Trix box... It was glaring at us ominously from the cereal aisle. The cereal box
spoke, and it said, "I dare you to put Trix on a donut." And in this strange way, the Psycho Leprochaun was born. Our kooks have been brainwashed by demented leprochauns, and will probably go overboard with that shamrock donut cutter on Wednesday. Make Psycho Donuts a part of your well-balanced party diet this St. Patty's Day.
And now, it's onward to PsychEaster. Our next Psycho event - Sunday April 4 - is going to be very eggcentric. Web Granger, PhD (Professor, Hysterical Donuts) is creating doughy wabbits of the donut variety, for your caloric enjoyment. And while you're chomping on the head of a Wabbit Donut, stick around - because Psycho Karaoke with Korkaraoke begins at 10am! If you've not experienced morning karaoke in our padded karaoke studio, you should. It beats the Easter Egg hunt at your local community center...
We're excited to have one of our favorite bands, Please Do Not Fight, returning to the Psycho stage - to cap off our PsychEaster event. Check out Please Do Not Fight's original Indie sound - at 1:30pm, on Easter Sunday.
In other news, help us welcome our new Nurse In Training! Janelle has already learned the fine art of Donut Nursing, so come and meet her soon - and see how her bubblewrap therapy skills are progressing.
We'd also like to extend a big Psycho congratulations to Kook Michael - who recently graduated from The Professional Chef Institute with honors.
Last but not least, if you're going to college, Stanford is the place to go. Not for of the education, of course, but because they sell Psycho Donuts on campus! The Axe and Palm Cafe recently held a "Stanford Donut Contest." The winning student, Joe Schlicht, had the mental chops to envision a donut with injured Gummy Bears. The donut conveniently doubles as a frontal attack on an unnamed Stanford rival. We put our best Psychos on the case, and The Stanford Axed Bears Donut lives! Congrats to Joe for his winning donut design.

Sarah and Vinnie arrive; Donut McPsycho and More!
A huge thanks to our new friends from San Francisco's Alice Radio 97.3. Sarah and Vinnie took their Secret Show on the road for the first time - to Psycho Donuts! Sarah, Vinnie, Human, Uzette - you're crazy! Of course, we like that. We almost got a straitjacket on Human. Maybe next time... at a minimum, he failed the ink blot test!
There is a LOT going on at Psycho Donuts. Let's start with LONGER HOURS! Psycho Donuts is now open until 9pm every night, except Friday and Saturday - when we open until 11pm. Make Psycho Donuts your new place to hang out in the evening!
Bring on the bacon and eggs! Huh? You may already be familiar with our notorious Hamburger Donut - a donut disguised as a burger with bacon, honey-butter, and strawberry jam. We've officially renamed this doughy maverick; heretofore known as Donut McPsycho. Why the change? Because now - you can add an egg for a buck. This is one truly Psycho breakfast sandwich! Come try one today!
And finally, we're giddy to announce the arrival of the Psycho Cone Bar. WTF? We are already serving killer coffee from our loony friends at Tony's Coffee. But now, you can get a custom cup of single origin Ethiopian jolt. Watch as our nurse grinds the coffee for your custom cup - right before your eyes! Come experience our Psycho Cone Bar today!
Stay tuned for details on upcoming Psycho events!

Psycho Bday Recap, Longer Hours, and PsychEaster
Thanks to all of our old and new Psycho friends for joining us at Psycho Donuts First Birthday and Donut Homecoming Event. A crazy time was had by all! A special thanks to our good friend Bruce Rogers of Korkaraoke, for the insane karaoke antics. Stay tuned for a video montage of karaoke performances! Also, a special thanks to our hard working staff of Psycho Kooks and Nurses, who worked like crazy - literally.
We'd also like to congratulate our contest winners. Cynthia Brunn is the winner of The Donut Guy naming contest. No longer is our running donut named "Donut Guy." Heretofore, he shall be known as LoonyBen! Thanks to Cynthia and all of our other fans who submitted name ideas. We were also partial to names such as Syd Delicious, Willy Wacko, 5150, Norman Bites, and Nucking D. Futz. But alas, the Psycho fans have spoken by popular vote...
An extra special congratulations to Monika Rose - the winner of Psycho Donuts #1 Fan Competition. Contestants endured a written Psycho trivia quiz, bubble wrapping contest, and blind taste test.
Monika proved she has the Psycho chops, and earned the title of #1 Psycho Fan. What she doesn't yet know is that the title comes with huge responsibilities - sorta like Miss America. Clear your calendar Monika!
In other exciting news - you asked for it, and here it is - LONGER PSYCHO HOURS! Effective Monday, March 8 - Psycho Donuts is now open until 9pm every night - except Fri/Sat - when we're open until 11pm. Come for breakfast, lunch, dinner, or nightcap. The Psychos are here for you with a donut and bubblewrap therapy!
Which brings us to our next crazy event. Join us on April 4 for PsychEaster. Korkaraoke will be on hand with Psycho Karaoke; Psycho Donuts will also participate in Downtown Campbell's "Bunnies and Bonnets" Parade at noon. Want to be in the parade with us? Follow us on Facebook and Twitter over the next couple of weeks; and find out how you can be part of the Psycho parade lineup!
Finally, for those of you in Santa Clara - our crazy friends at Blondie's Frozen Yogurt and Ice Cream are now selling Psycho Donuts. Stop in for some great yogurt, and pick up a Psycho Donut while you're there!

Donut Homecoming
Can a donut have a diagnosed illness? Apparently the answer is no... Who knew?! Can a donut attend a homecoming event? In this case, the answer is affirmative (unless the Homecoming Coalition shows up with protest signs).
We're 3 days away from Psycho Donuts Birthday Celebration and Homecoming Event. We'll be celebrating our first year as a psycho baby, and what a crazy year it's been... Join us this Saturday, March 6. We'll kick off the event with Psycho KorKaraoke at 10am. We'll announce the winner of the Donut Guy Naming Contest at 11am, and the winner of the #1 Psycho Fan Contest at 1pm. Then, join us as Picture Atlantic rocks the Psycho Bin at 1:30pm.
The Homecoming portion of our event celebrates a handful of donuts that ran away from the nuthouse at a young age. Happily, these missing donuts phoned home, and will be attending our event on Saturday. While they've grown up a bit, their character hasn't changed much.
Let's start with The Psycho. This naughty donut should be arrested for tastebud assault. It'll cut you four ways: sweet, sour, salty, and spicy! It's a raised donut with a lemon-chocolate marshmallow glaze, pretzels, and chili powder. Welcome home Psycho!
Anyone remember The Jitterbug? Jitterbug joined a cult, but after some brainwashing, has come back to the madhouse to pay a visit. The jitterbug is infused with a healthy extraction of Tony's Coffee - creating a caffeinated glaze - then topped with pretzels and chocolate drizzle.
Finally, many of our Psycho friends have been longing for the return of Lightning Lemon. This sourpuss has a vanilla glaze, graham crackers, and oozes lemony goodness from the middle.
Finally, we may also have some *people* come back to Psycho Donuts for Homecoming. Rumor has it that Nurse Isabel will return to the Psycho den to pay us a visit. Many of you will remember Isabel as the face of Psycho Donuts. Isabel, you can run, but you'll never escape! Once a Psycho, always a Psycho!
