Sarah and Vinnie arrive; Donut McPsycho and More!

A huge thanks to our new friends from San Francisco's Alice Radio 97.3. Sarah and Vinnie took their Secret Show on the road for the first time - to Psycho Donuts! Sarah, Vinnie, Human, Uzette - you're crazy! Of course, we like that. We almost got a straitjacket on Human. Maybe next time... at a minimum, he failed the ink blot test!

There is a LOT going on at Psycho Donuts. Let's start with LONGER HOURS! Psycho Donuts is now open until 9pm every night, except Friday and Saturday - when we open until 11pm. Make Psycho Donuts your new place to hang out in the evening!

Bring on the bacon and eggs! Huh? You may already be familiar with our notorious Hamburger Donut - a donut disguised as a burger with bacon, honey-butter, and strawberry jam. We've officially renamed this doughy maverick; heretofore known as Donut McPsycho. Why the change? Because now - you can add an egg for a buck. This is one truly Psycho breakfast sandwich! Come try one today!

And finally, we're giddy to announce the arrival of the Psycho Cone Bar. WTF? We are already serving killer coffee from our loony friends at Tony's Coffee. But now, you can get a custom cup of single origin Ethiopian jolt. Watch as our nurse grinds the coffee for your custom cup - right before your eyes! Come experience our Psycho Cone Bar today!

Psycho Bday Recap, Longer Hours, and PsychEaster

Thanks to all of our old and new Psycho friends for joining us at Psycho Donuts First Birthday and Donut Homecoming Event. A crazy time was had by all! A special thanks to our good friend Bruce Rogers of Korkaraoke, for the insane karaoke antics. Stay tuned for a video montage of karaoke performances! Also, a special thanks to our hard working staff of Psycho Kooks and Nurses, who worked like crazy - literally.

We'd also like to congratulate our contest winners. Cynthia Brunn is the winner of The Donut Guy naming contest. No longer is our running donut named "Donut Guy." Heretofore, he shall be known as LoonyBen! Thanks to Cynthia and all of our other fans who submitted name ideas. We were also partial to names such as Syd Delicious, Willy Wacko, 5150, Norman Bites, and Nucking D. Futz. But alas, the Psycho fans have spoken by popular vote...

An extra special congratulations to Monika Rose - the winner of Psycho Donuts #1 Fan Competition. Contestants endured a written Psycho trivia quiz, bubble wrapping contest, and blind taste test.

Monika proved she has the Psycho chops, and earned the title of #1 Psycho Fan. What she doesn't yet know is that the title comes with huge responsibilities - sorta like Miss America. Clear your calendar Monika!

In other exciting news - you asked for it, and here it is - LONGER PSYCHO HOURS! Effective Monday, March 8 - Psycho Donuts is now open until 9pm every night - except Fri/Sat - when we're open until 11pm. Come for breakfast, lunch, dinner, or nightcap. The Psychos are here for you with a donut and bubblewrap therapy!

Which brings us to our next crazy event. Join us on April 4 for PsychEaster. Korkaraoke will be on hand with Psycho Karaoke; Psycho Donuts will also participate in Downtown Campbell's "Bunnies and Bonnets" Parade at noon. Want to be in the parade with us? Longer weekend hours; Whack new donuts!

Want a late-night trippy donut? Starting next weekend (Sept 4/5), Psycho Donuts will stay open until 11pm on Friday and Saturday nights. If you want a crazy donut later in the evening, there’s only one fun place to come. And speaking of crazy donuts…

Chief Psycho has been creating some new demented treats. Witness the following new creations – starting this Monday, August 31! Customers have said, “Hey Psychos - we want to see some donuts that are more savory than sweet; we want donuts with bacon, and donuts with maple!” Want want want! We thought you were all crazy, but we listened anyways, and here’s what’s in store for you. Buckle in – we're breaking new ground here!

The Hamburger Donut. Our Hamburger Donut bears an amazing resemblance to the ‘real’ hamburger. The donut resembles a bun complete with sesame seeds. The ‘bun’ is cut in half, and bacon comprises the meat of this oddball burger. The experiment is complete with some honey butter and strawberry jam. Early scientific studies confirm this to be the perfect breakfast - especially when coupled with an order of Donut Fries.

Noses and Eyeballs. OK, so Halloween is still a ways off, but we couldn’t wait. Picture a conglomeration of filled donut holes in the shape of Noses and Eyeballs. It wasn’t hard to come up with the name of this whack treat.

The Cinnamon Troll. Psycho Donuts now has its own Cinnamon Roll, er, Troll. Unlike some cinnamon rolls, ours do not bathe heavily in butter or sugar glaze. It’s a lighter cinnamon roll, with a touch of honey, and chocolate drizzle.

Headbanger’s Evil Twin. We figured that two Headbangers are better than one. This ‘Evil Twin’ has slightly darker skin than his brother due to a cinnamon sugar accident as a child, but their faces and ‘wounds’ are remarkably similar. Interestingly, if you took blood samples of the two twins, there is a startling contrast - the Evil Twin has custard in the middle, while the less-evil brother has strawberry filling. I guess twins don't always have the same blood type.

Crazy Face. This is 4 donuts in one. Custard-filled donut holes comprise a clown-like nose and eyes, atop a maple glazed donut. Bring the kids for this unusual culinary episode.
